AATCC 129 Ozone Colorfastness Test (Carpet & Textiles)
Floor Detective® Laboratory Testing Reference
Summary
AATCC 129 Ozone Colorfastness Testing evaluates the resistance of dyed textile materials to color change caused by ozone exposure under controlled laboratory conditions. The test is commonly used for carpets, rugs, upholstery fabrics, and other dyed textile products where long-term color stability is important. Ozone exposure may cause fading or discoloration of certain dye systems, particularly blue dye components. Results provide comparative information regarding a product’s resistance to ozone-related color change but do not independently determine manufacturing defect, warranty responsibility, or actual field performance.
