Summary

Bubbling in resilient sheet flooring occurs when sections of the installed floor lift upward due to localized loss of adhesive bond between the flooring and the substrate (the surface beneath the flooring). These raised areas may appear as rounded bubbles, blisters, or air pockets beneath the sheet material. Bubbling develops when air, vapor pressure, dimensional stress, or bond disruption allows the flooring to separate from the adhesive layer. The condition may appear shortly after installation or may develop gradually as environmental exposure, adhesive behavior, or substrate conditions influence
