AATCC 171 Hot Water Extraction
The test used to simulate the effects of shampooing the carpet. A sample is brushed and hydro extracted and allowed to dry under ambient conditions. The test sample is rated for color change. Tests can also be used to determine the effectiveness of carpet cleaners on a soiled carpet.
