What You Need To Know

Delamination is a separation between the plies (layers) of an engineered wood panel. The basic construction of an engineered platform-panel (core) is comprised of an odd or even number of plies to which, a veneer top layer is then bonded. Generally, the platform panel is manufactured using a cross-banded/glued construction of thin wood layers with each plies grain direction alternating at 90 degrees.
