Summary

Texture variation is an appearance condition where sections of carpet display differences in surface texture, pile definition, or light reflectivity. The variation occurs when pile orientation or tuft formation differs slightly across the carpet surface, changing how light reflects. The condition remains consistent and does not change with viewing direction or lighting angle. Texture variation may present across seams or between roll sections, sometimes creating the appearance of a color difference when the variation is optical rather than dye-related.
