Summary
Dye lot differences are appearance variations that occur when carpet produced in separate manufacturing runs is installed adjacent to one another or compared against material from a different production cycle. During dyeing and finishing, minor color and texture variation can occur between runs despite adherence to internal quality controls. When materials from different dye lots are seamed, installed together, or compared to showroom samples from separate production, visible contrast in color, shade, or surface character may result.
