Summary

Unraveling, also referred to as runs, is a physical damage condition exclusive to loop pile and cut/loop carpet constructions that utilize continuous filament yarn systems. The condition occurs when one or more continuous yarns are withdrawn from the carpet structure, resulting in visible sprouted yarns or linear runs that follow tuft rows.
