What you need to know
Dark and light bands at the seam can occur when the installer does not properly row cut this style of carpet. Carpet with alternating rows of solid color yarn and barber pole (two-tone) yarn must be joined at the seam with a solid color yarn on one side of the seam, and a barber pole yarn on the other side. Joining the carpet with the same color yarn along the cut edges, on each side of the seam, will result
