My journey in the flooring industry began in 1991, working the stockroom of a local retailer while still in high school. Immediately upon graduating, I served a rigorous two-year installation apprenticeship before launching a successful 13-year career as an independent installer, earning prestigious CFI certification in the trade along the way.

In 2006, leveraging over a decade of hands-on structural experience, I transitioned to full-time forensic inspection after completing extensive, brick-and-mortar training and earning multiple certifications from FCITS (#1507)—located in Dalton, Georgia, the absolute heart of the flooring manufacturing industry.

For over 20 years, I have maintained a reputation for absolute neutrality, technical precision, and legally bulletproof reporting. Because my firm is strictly independent and does not sell, distribute or install retail flooring, my inspections carry zero conflict of interest. This total autonomy ensures that every report I write stands up to the highest level of scrutiny from manufacturers, insurance adjusters, and courts of law should expert witness litigation arise. To date, my forensic findings, reports and expert witness testimony remain undefeated in litigation, having never been overturned in a court of law.​
