Howard has extensive flooring background with all flooring surfaces beginning in 1987. Since 2002 he has specialized in hard surface materials-tile/stone/wood/laminates. Experience and education with manufacturers of floor setting (installation) materials has increased knowledge and ability to direct right installation practices and product selection. This coupled with ANSI/TCNA/MIA standards integrates the practical world with technical standards.

The constant need within the flooring industry for support and assistance when problematic situations occur placed Howard in the position to address installation concerns and failures. This developed to independent inspections and consultation. Working with developers, architects, designers, general contractors and installation contractors supported and developed the skills required to specify installation practices, installation materials accompanied by detailing scope of work.

Howard initiated a program approved by the American Institute of Architects with presentations in a learning environment. Those presentations have been provided to Developers, General Contractors, Installation Companies and several Southeast Florida Building Departments. Some of these presentations have included sound insulation, waterproofing, installation practices and cost-effective specification.
