FloorTex Fibers & Fabrics Inspections is an unbiased Independent Commercial and Residential Flooring Inspection Company that’s based out of Lansing, Michigan, and Bloomington, Illinois that conducts inspections throughout the entire state of Michigan and Illinois.   In addition, we cover St Louis,  Missouri, Indiana, Southern Wisconsin, and North Western Ohio surrounding areas.

LeVante Carrington D/B/A as FloorTex Fibers & Fabrics Inspections has performed inspections on the West Coast of Los Angeles, California to the upper Midwestern states.

LeVante Carrington is a certified Master Inspector with 32+ years of experience and hands-on training in the hard & soft surface flooring and textile industry.   He is qualified, competent, objective and unbiased, and completely independent when conducting his inspections.   LeVante Carrington is a well-trained flooring inspector in the areas relating to manufacturing, installation, specification, performance, restoration,  maintenance, and certified product testing.

He is thorough,  impartial, and uniquely qualified to render a decision on a floor covering installation failure.   When there is a disagreement of opinion,  and individuals begin finger-pointing, an unbiased third party  ( Inspector ) is usually needed to determine the root cause of a flooring-related issue or failure.

He is often asked to go into the field to give a second opinion on commercial and residential complex flooring issues and problematic claims.  We provide commercial inspection services throughout the United States for large flooring claims.

LeVante Carrington has earned certification credentials from FCITS, IICRC, CFIU, AFS, FITS, NALFA, PRISM, Edge Flooring, and the Carpet Cushion Council.  His ongoing training and education are never-ending because he prefers to stay up to date with constant training as new manufacturing products are introduced, their unique problems as well as applicable revisions to installation guidelines, and industry standards.

LeVante Carrington is not a “ Rookie” or “ Novice “ inspector who just started in the inspection business with minimum training, or no hands experience.

All onsite physical inspections are done independently by Master Inspector LeVante Carrington.   He does not subcontract his inspection assignments to other third-party inspection agencies

When selecting an inspector, make sure his/her credentials are up to date and you are free to use any inspector with proper training, experience, and verifiable certification.   If a company only accepts reports from one specific certification body, that’s a potential “red flag”.

In my opinion, this is an unethical business practice because there is more than one certification organization that certifies and trains inspectors.    For instance, High School Diplomas and College Degrees programs are offered and accepted from many different schools, and countries throughout the world.

LeVante Carrington has passed criminal,   sex offender, drug use/activity, and felony background checks.     He is a nonsmoker and does not consume alcoholic beverages.

In his spare time, he enjoys restoring and renovating old historic houses.   He performs most of the renovations,  and deconstruction himself.  He is constantly working with anything that has to do with concrete footings,  structural framing,  electrical, heating,  plumbing, and roofing.
