About Me
We serve the metro Atlanta area, with our service area extending into South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. Southeast Floor Inspections provides consulting, certified floor inspections, and expert witness services for a variety of floor coverings in both commercial and residential installations, including carpet, LVT, LVP, bamboo, hardwood, pre-finished engineered flooring, vinyl sheet goods, laminate flooring, ceramic tile, glass tile, stone, and certified concrete moisture testing. Our Floor Safety Specialists focus on stairway safety, walkway evaluation and management, and solutions to prevent slips, trips, and falls. We offer ANSI-certified slip testing for all surfaces nationwide and are certified by the National Deck & Railing Association to inspect decks, patios, and docks. Our products include exclusive non-slip stair treads for commercial, residential, deck, dock, and outdoor stairway use, custom-made in multiple colors, including glow-in-the-dark options.
Work Experience & Past Projects
Ed started his career with Shaw Industries as an Operations Manager in North Georgia. In 1998, Dupont Flooring System recruited him to be a Regional Operations Manager. He was eventually promoted to the National Vice President of Maintenance Operations, overseeing and supporting over 100 locations across the U.S. After his career with DuPont, he started three successful commercial flooring companies in the Atlanta area; two are regional, and one is national. Game Day Floors focused on gym floor maintenance, recoating, sanding & finishing, and installation. Tekclean, USA, focuses on our specialty skills in data center and cleanroom environments. FloorCare Specialists is a commercial flooring maintenance and installation company. He decided to step away from the day-to-day operations of those companies to focus on commercial, residential, and gym floor inspections and floor safety.
