Moisture Testing Prior
Moisture Testing Prior to Installation (Concrete / Substrates)
Floor Detective® Claims and Conditions Guide
Summary
Moisture testing prior to installation evaluates concrete slab conditions to determine compatibility with flooring and adhesive systems. Common methods measure different aspects of moisture, including internal humidity, vapor emission, and surface moisture conditions. Test results reflect conditions at the time and location of testing and may not represent future slab behavior or conditions at the time of installation. Moisture testing assesses substrate conditions rather than predicting long-term flooring performance.
