About Me

Professional Background

I began my flooring career in 1970 working for a large floor-covering retailer as a warehouseman. I then completed a 4½-year apprenticeship installing all types of flooring, gaining hands-on experience across residential and commercial applications.

In 1984, I founded and operated a floor-covering installation company, which I owned for 12 years and grew to employ up to ten installers. During this time, I managed installations, quality control, and client relations while working across a wide range of flooring materials.

In 1994, I became a CFI Master Certified Installer and Carpet Inspector and was later selected as a CFI Trainer/Instructor, traveling nationwide to assist with installer and inspector certification programs.

From 1996 to 2001, I worked for a flooring adhesive manufacturer based in Dalton, Georgia, serving as a Regional Technical Service Representative. My responsibilities included investigating claims, providing product training, and supporting sales teams. During this period, I also became certified as a carpet inspector by FCITS.

Between 2001 and 2005, I served as a sales representative for a full-line floor-covering wholesaler covering the western region of Illinois, where I increased sales by approximately 600% over four years.

From 2005 to 2018, I worked for a global flooring manufacturer as a Regional Technical Service Representative, conducting claim investigations, delivering technical and product training, and supporting sales and dealer networks.

In 2018, I founded Moore Certified Services LLC, providing independent, certified flooring inspection services.
